Issues Approving App Requests on Shared iPads

Dear colleagues,

at our school we have iPads used by children under 13 whose parents do not own any other Apple device. Because of that, family sharing cannot be set up through a separate device. In these cases, both the parent and the child are logged in on the same iPad, and the child can request permission to install apps. I can see these requests when I tap the parent’s name, but I’m unable to approve or decline them. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help!
