I am a doctoral candidate seeking 15 educators to participate in a 20-minute interview and complete an anonymous survey.
The study is titled A Descriptive Case Study of the Effectiveness of AI-Based Assistive Technology in Addressing the Needs of Diverse Learners, with a Focus on Accessibility in Illinois Secondary Education. The purpose of this qualitative descriptive case study is to understand how secondary educators in suburban Illinois high schools implement AI-based assistive technologies, including the challenges, supports, and conditions that influence their use to meet the accessibility needs of diverse learners.
Description of criteria for participation:
I am seeking 15 secondary education teachers employed in a suburban high school in Illinois. To participate, you must:
Hold a valid Illinois teaching license;
Teach at a high school
Teach in a district that has a 1:1 technology plan
Teach a course that includes a diverse population of students (e.g., English learners, students receiving special education services, and general education students);
Have prior experience using instructional technology in the classroom;
Be open to participating in one-on-one interviews and completing an anonymous survey as part of the study.

All information you provide will remain confidential. No personal identifiers will be used in any published reports.
