High School Astronomy Teaching Space Science to 4th-Grade Dual-Language Learners 2021

Each year, my Astronomy classes design and implement in-person lessons for a local elementary school's 4th-graders as they begin their unit on space science. We used knowledge from our Prehistoric Astronomy/Night Sky unit to create interactive, hands-on lessons with Apple apps and iPads in both English and Spanish.

This year, we could not teach in person. This year, we developed lessons using Google Slides to provide the 4th-graders and their teachers numerous ways to tackle their standards, which include self-created videos and activities. Here is a link to our work.

Thanks for sharing these student-created projects! What a great opportunity to partner secondary and elementary students in a learning experience!
