Christianity Denominations Infographic - Human Geography

Original Plan/Lesson:

• My original plan for my Human Geography freshmen in our World Religions unit was to have them research and write about the many denominations of Christianity.

What I Changed:

• Turned my written activity to a project where students tell a story about a given denomination
• Brought in local histories and cultures by encouraging students to research local churches
• Encouraged students to research and capture data of where each denomination is practiced globally

Impact:

• Students were more engaged and active in their assessment
• Students could better customize their final product
• Allowed students to show their understanding in a more creative way that reaches multiple learning styles
