Maps Eyeball Bender
In this I adapted some ideas from the “Everyone Can Create Drawing and Photo” books. I merged some ideas with something I learned in a class I took when earning my Masters.
Students demonstrated their learning in three ways. First they were able to identify several important PA landmarks. They were able to locate their coordinates as well. Finally they were able to show their use of maps by creating their own Eyeball Benders
Students enjoyed touring many famous locations in PA with a 3D view from Apple Maps. It gave them a unique perspective of places they have not seen before. It also promoted the many tourist spots available in PA.
Students all chose their best Eyebender and submitted them to be used for a segment on are morning announcements. Students in the school had to correctly identify the PA landmark and its coordinates to get a piece of candy.
I've included a blank template created from pages you can use. I've also included a screenshot of a sample I used with my students.
