Keynote your Valentine Cards
Captivate your students with animated Valentine cards that will get them into researching primary sources as well as inspiring some artistic creativity. Consider making a card from a favorite primary source of yours, give it a historic look, and send it out to your students with a challenge that they share a card back to you. I bet they’ll come up with some outstanding creations!
In Keynote, this primary source is Masked with a Shapes “heart” and laced with Shapes/Ornaments. It is Animated using Fade and Scale, Line Draw for the heart and Trace for the lettering. Easily done in Keynote!
Students can create and share Keynote cards using their own photos or drawings, but history teachers might want to wrap some research skill content into a Happy Valentine’s Day Card.

Well I didn't use a historical image, but this is also a fun activity to do with family pets :)
