Creating AR Identity Portraits with Keynote & Eye Jack App

Shared at institute the story of our AR Identity Portraits where students chose a self portrait for our identity gallery, annotated and animated their image with pieces of their identity others may not see in Keynote, and then paired them together in Eye Jack app to complete the gallery experience.

Here is a recap of the steps.

STEP 1: Representing Our Layers

The first step of our project was exploring identity and self portraits. We did more learning about our personal and social identities with The Antiracist Kid by Tiffany Jewell while also exploring tips for self-portrait photography.

STEP 2: Annotating & Animating our Portraits in Keynote

After changing the presentation setup to the artwork size and layout, learners added their image and locked it down. Our students really enjoy drawing so the drawing tools and line draw animate feature was a good fit to share more about ourselves. When done we exported our final animations as a GIF.

STEP 3: Connecting our Media pieces in Eye Jack App

Eye Jack is a really simple way to create Augmented Reality art. Learners airdropped their artifacts to our shared iMac for the tech team to connect with the Eye Jack creator app on the desktop.
