Sprout Makes the Team - Create a Silent Movie

For this week’s activity have students watch Episode 3 "Sprout Makes the Team"

Reflect: The Spryte game creates different feelings and emotions between dorms. Think about how the characters respond to the events of the game? When and how do the Sprytes demonstrate helpful or hurtful friendships towards one another?

Create: Students will create their own silent movie to showcase the events from the game in Clips!

I have created a book with all of my activities and connections to standards that you can download below.

In case you missed it, here is some other great content from Apple to help you use Wolfboy in the classroom: https://education.apple.com/#/communication/part/T046680A

I would love to hear about how you use these activities with your own students. Please reply and share below!

Another great activity, Katie! I love how the Create activity encourages students to break down the plot of this part of the episode while also using tools in Clips to portray the tone and mood. It really encourages students toward critical thinking. I also appreciate how the Reflect activity helps students consider their own interactions with friends and when they may have been helpful or hurtful. Thank you, as always, for this fun content and these meaningful activities!

Thanks for sharing. I love creating silent movies (even with teachers as part of PD!). It gives participants a deeper understanding of how to display emotion and connect with their audience.
