Freeform-An Ideal Space for Student Collaboration

I am loving Freeform, Apple's newest app, released with iOS 16.2. This app has been a great space for me to plan and collaborate with peers. I knew that this app could be beneficial with students as well. Perhaps they are working on a STEAM challenge together and need a fresh space to draw out their ideas. Maybe they are working in teams to present a topic to the class and want to gather resources. Collaborating in documents as pairs or small teams is a pretty seamless task for students, however, collaborating as a full class can sometimes be a tad hairy. So I started thinking of how to organize the chaos a bit. Take a look at one idea on how to keep everyone within their space.

Love this idea!! I agree that Freeform makes for a great (free!) replacement for Padlet in its ability to serve as a curation space. Thanks for sharing this quick video tutorial for how to help students stay organized in their sharing/collaborating.

What a great use of Freeform… as a virtual student sharing gallery! And I love the idea of locking a graphic in the background to help visually organize your class’s submissions. Your tutorial is easy to follow and I want to go create something similar right away. Thanks so much for sharing!
