Teaching law students to navigate case law using Memoji Videos

The law students I teach are always asking for interesting cases to read. However, they are also reluctant to read lengthy court judgements. To help them navigate a court’s reasoning in deciding a legal matter and keep them engaged, I used my iPhone to create Memoji videos. Using Memoji videos, I focused on narrating what was going on in a judgment, assisting students in navigating the text. The Memoji videos are placed in important sections of a decision that helps with wayfinding. Students are then able to navigate and understand a court’s reasoning in subsequent judgments.
