Character Trait Mini-Lesson

This was a simple reflective activity for ELA using an award certificate template from Pages. The students selected a character of focus from literature and rewarded them with a certificate to honor a character trait that impacted the story. It linked with additional writing assignments that described the evidence from the text to support the character traits.

Love the way you linked this activity to students having to provide evidence for their "claim" of what award their selected character should receive. What a creative way for students to practice thinking critically about character traits!
