Microscopy Meets Mark Up
Within our last outdoor Ed adventure of the school year, students explored the fresh water plankton at Old Woman Creek. They enjoyed finding the microscopic phytoplankton (plant) and zooplankton (animals) in their drops of water. The sounds of the lab in full discovery mode does make a science teachers heart full!
Students used keys and classification steps to identify their little plankton friends. Then, they used our iPads to capture the view before releasing them (down the drain). 😂
Later, back at school, I challenged students to use the Mark Up tool to share some of the science in the water droplet.
These are some great examples!
