One thing that helps me learn is being able to watch someone do something, take notes, and then do the exact same thing while they are there. That way, they can help me troubleshoot any issues.
This helps me adapt my coaching because it makes me realize that I need to give (even) adults different means of learning. Different people need to hear, see, and try out what I’m teaching them. Most people want to do things correctly, so giving people a chance to try something out in a supportive environment can be powerful for encouraging them to use it on their own!
