In the role of administrator, I was continually inviting all the teachers to provide as many options as possible for any given assignment. Showing students two, three and four ways (or more) of completing their work and demonstrating their learning was a clear invitation for creativity and individual skill development. Teaches quickly found plenty of examples for a particular assignment and would 'honour' students by choosing some of the creative work, making a copy of the work and using these examples in the coming years for other students to 'see' first hand.
