Mosyle Admin-Pushing Apps to iPads

Question:

Good morning!

We are using the free version of Mosyle to centrally manage our iPads. It has been shared with us by Apple that we can not use iTunes accounts on the iPads and still push Apps (i.e. NWEA MAP). When we try this we are getting this message (attached). Since we are using the free version of Mosyle, we can't use their support. Does anyone have a similar experience or some expertise in this area that they would be willing to share with us that might help us?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

It may be best for you to get in touch with your assigned Apple Education Systems Engineer to discuss further. We can take a deeper dive into your deployment and use of Mosyle to figure out what needs to happen to fix the issue! You can contact us by calling 1-800-800-2775 and choose option 4 to get connected with your school's Apple sales team.

Best,

Dominique

Matt we use Mosyle, and this happens when you don't have an Apple ID for the user. I would suggest getting managed IDs and log into those. But you can still push out apps without the Apple IDs, just hit cancel, it comes up about 3-4 times, but then stops showing up. The only time this will really impact you is when you try to push out books. You will want all devices to have apple IDs for books.

We even had a cart of iPads to go from class to class, so we just created generic IDs for those devices.
