Build Your Animation

You’ll use your photos from the previous tutorial to get set up and make your animation.

Get set up in Keynote.

You’ll create a Keynote document and adjust your slides to match the shape and size of your photos.

Step 1

Open Keynote. Touch and hold the Keynote icon until the menu pops up.

Step 2

Tap New Presentation.

Step 3

Tap the Basic White theme.

Step 4

Tap Format .

Step 5

Tap Layout.

Step 6

Scroll down and tap Blank.

Step 7

To match your slide size to the orientation of your photos, tap the Document Menu.

Step 8

Tap Presentation Options.

Step 9

Tap Presentation Setup.

Step 10

Tap Slide Size to open the menu.

Step 11

Tap the 4:3 aspect ratio in landscape orientation.

Step 12

Tap Done.

Create slides for your sequence.

You’ll need a blank slide for each of your eight photos.

Step 1

To create a new blank slide, first tap the slide thumbnail to open the menu.

Step 2

Tap Duplicate.

Step 3

Keep adding blank slides until you have eight.

Step 4

Select the first thumbnail.

Step 5

Tap Insert Media to add a photo.

Step 6

Tap Photo or Video.

Step 7

Select the first image to add it to the first slide.

Step 8

Repeat this with the rest of the photos, adding each one to the next slide.
