Supporting those new to iPad

As part of my coaching role, both with pre service teachers as well as those in schools already, one thing that usually occurs is that some of the very simple functionality of the device gets overlooked as staff go straight into the apps.

I find that often this then means that teachers don't often fully utilise the power of the device itself as a teaching and learning tool.

As such I created a guide to support staff in the exploration of the iPad.

Titled Why iPad? 14 tips for every teacher, the idea being to give some really simple ways to use the device everyday so that there is a solid platform to then build on with creativity and curriculum design.

You can grab the book here for free and explore some of the ways that iPad can really change approaches n your own practice.

Thank you for sharing this book. I am going to share this resource with our teachers and support staff. I appreciate that the simple functionality of the device often does get overlooked as staff goes directly to Apps.

Thanks for sharing. Do you push out these books to all staff or ask them to download? thought it would be great to have them on the iPad already for teachers.
