Kindergarten Clips

Kindergarten students learn about a new letter each week. They are constantly looking for different ways to practice the letters and what sounds they make. We used Clips to go on a scavenger hunt around the classroom for things that start with the letter of the week. They were studying "H" during this week.

Students went around the room and found things that started with the letter of the week. They recorded their voices talking about the object and the letter that it starts with. Students then added stickers and sounded out each word to the best of their ability.

Student found a picture of a helicopter and sounded out the word independently.

I love how easy Clips is to operate. These five year olds didn't have a single problem navigating the app or recording their videos. They even found new features of the app that they weren't explicitly taught in the lesson.

These students have a goal to make their own alphabet video including one object for each letter. I can't wait to see what else they create!

They could apply this to so many things, such as their names, word sounds, sight words etc! Thanks for sharing!
