One simple way to use Keynote in your classroom is by creating an ordered card sort for your students to complete! Using Keynote’s light table view, students can easily hold and drag the slides in the correct order to represent a process like the scientific method, show the steps of solving a specific math problem, order the plot elements of a story, and more. Add another element by having students screen record as they sort the slides and explain their thought process aloud!
In my 8th grade classroom, we used this Keynote feature to review events on our “vital dates” timeline in early United States history. After sorting the cards, students completed each slide by adding key information and creating visuals that represented each event.
(I'm having trouble attaching the Keynote template - but it was really easy to make! I used Canva for the slide backgrounds)
