During my Apple Professional Learning Specialist training, I created a poster showing the reasons I believe coding should be integrated into all the core subjects. I believe, especially in elementary classrooms, that coding should be considered as important as reading, writing, and arithmetic. Teachers need to stop thinking of coding as only an after school club or something kids do in Tech or Media class, but make it apart of everything they do. Are we really preparing our students for jobs of the future? By teaching them how to code, I believe we are.
