Food for thought?

I teach students and train teachers on ipad implementation . Ours is a 1:1 ipad school from grades 5-10. We have ipad carts for prep to grade 4.

My lower grade students enjoy using emojis. I am always fascinated by the variety and came up with this worksheet to be shared with teachers in my next session. Thought I would share it here . You can use it and give your valuable feedback and build upon it with more ideas.

I used Pages App……Table and Emojis.

keep thinking…..how you can customise it to the subject you use or elsewhere.

Happy Learning.

Those are certainly yummy Emojis. I could see them being used in a Culinary Arts class on the high school level as students create and write their own recipes and design a recipe book in Pages.

What a colorful grid of "food for thought" emojis! It would be interesting to use this in a literacy lesson focused on descriptive language. Students could try to name as many descriptive words as possible for a given emoji. Or they could try grouping emojis by different learner-generated categories and explain their grouping systems. That would be an interesting opportunity to see critical thinking in action. I'll be interested to hear what other ideas come out of your next session with teachers!
