Hispanic Heritage Month- Create a Luminaria

Let's celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our students by creating luminaries!

Students can use this Keynote template to create a design using the golden circles, or use the drawing tool to "poke holes." Students can then group the designs and animate them to make them appear as if they are glowing. Page 3 includes a media placeholder so that students can record a video explaining what their design represents.

“Luminaries are traditional decor used in the Hispanic culture. They are typically paper bags that have designs or holes poked through the side, and are lit by putting a candle inside. These are placed in pathways and entrances or are used for decorations at holidays throughout the year.” - We Are Teachers
