3D Assets with iWork

The latest update to IWork (Keynote, Pages and Numbers) has given us the ability to add 3D files (USDZ) to our documents. I had a quick experiment with these in Keynote to see what could be done.

 

The video shows a Keynote presentation that uses a 3D Moon file from Sketchfab and the Magic Move transition effect. The use of Magic Move allows for some really cool effects with the 3D files and the fact that you can click and view the file in AR will be really useful in iWork scaffolds.

I’m really interested to see what people start creating with this new update.

It is now possible to add 3D objects into Keynote (USDZ files). They can be found in the Reality Composer library or from different shareware websites. Animate with Magic move transition and export as a video to iMovie
