Keynote Devel-app-ment Project

Using the Elements of Learning in Apple Books, I took inspiration from "An App About Resilience." My students were about to begin research projects on the various ecosystems. I created a template based on a cell phone format for students to showcase their work. I added instructions in the Presenter Notes and included "Must Do" and "May Do" tasks for them to complete. I taught students how to turn on Presenter Notes to find the instructions as they began working. Students personalized each slide based on their research, including animations, audio files, and bits of their personalities. Upon completion, students had their own Ecosystem app to share.

Thanks for sharing Whitney! I love the idea of students developing their own app & this can easily be modified for any content area!

Very impressive and creative for your learners. Love the idea and your student’s work flow in Keynote. Agree that this can be applied to many different content areas.
