Document Learning with Clips

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Thanks for checking in! 🙌🏻

Today we will explore how you can better use Clips to create, integrate and celebrate the amazing learning happening in your classroom.

Clips is the perfect app to have in your digital kete (toolkit), an app I use all the time, in so many different ways to support learners at all levels. It provides accessibility to reflect, consolidate and share learning across the curriculum. Clips is extremely engaging for tamariki (children), as they (very quickly) can create epic videos that showcase their learning - videos they are always SO proud of and excited to share!

In Clips you can choose and use a wide range of tools, supporting that all-important, multimodal learning! Pulling through animated posters, soundtracks, content from photos, animated stickers, live titles, text, recording audio and more. There are so many opportunities to create impressive movies on the fly!

So, let’s dive in and explore the interface, as well as loads of ideas and ways you can integrate this app to document learning…

Ka rawe, excellent work! I hope you had fun exploring Clips and working through the above workflow with me. I have also created some useful resources to continue to support you, as you build fluency using Clips and begin to think about other ways and ideas to connect this with learning across the curriculum.

Below is a Freeform resource and digital book I have put together exploring ‘the why’, getting started, creating with Clips, consolidating and reflecting on learning - as well as that all-important reminder to share the fantastic mahi you are creating!

I hope you are feeling inspired and excited to put this new learning and these new ideas into action… jump into the comments below and tell me the first idea you are going to explore…

How will you use the Freeform resource, books and videos to support you, your tamariki and kura (school) integrating Clips to document learning?

🎥 Happy movie-making! 🍿
