Accessibility in Education iPad - Workshop Resource

Last year I posted a resource I have loved sharing with you; “30 Top Tips for Accessibility in Education”. This is a series of quick tips for personalising iPad in both video and written form. This resource can be found via this link.

I created individual downloadable cards for each tip, with both the written pathway and the QR code to the video so you can interact in the way that best suits your learning style.

I also provided cards as a resource for your classroom or for families so that devices at home can be personalised as well. There are two options - 2 cards per page or 6 cards per page.

The response to the cards has been immense. I am so pleased people from all over the world have used and benefitted from using the cards, both with learners, parents and with other educators.

To support you in the way you use these cards, I have created a Keynote that will run two alternative workshops. One for Educators and one for Parents.

Keynote title page

It is customisable to match your School or District, and there are step by step instructions on each slide.

For Educators, it is designed to last approximately 1.5 hours depending on skill level and time availability. You may wish to separate it into two sessions or reduce the scaffolded exercises to shorten the workshop.

For Parents, it is designed to last approximately 1 hour and is much more specific to their own child.

There are additional resource downloads within the keynote which is accessible below.

If you need additional support in this area, I am here to help. I am available to assist you with running online or in person workshops, or supporting Educators or students anywhere in the World.

Just reach out. We all need a helping hand.
