Student Portfolios in Pages

In my subject (Design & Visual Communication) students work through a design process to develop spatial and product design solutions. It's important that they learn to communicate design ideas using both practical and digital visual communication techniques. Pages has been a lifesaver and the perfect tool to merge the two methods together. Overall presentation and composition of student work has improved, and students are more conscious of how well they are communicating their ideas.

Submitting their work in a Pages document shows process and design thinking - you are able to follow the process the student has followed to come to a design solution. And I love how every student has their own unique presentation quirks - fonts, colour schemes, shapes, decoration!

The students collaborate their Pages Portfolios with me and I am able to offer verbal feedback throughout the document through voice record. No more post-it notes necessary!
