How to choose an app for the classroom (or any resource for your classroom)

I had created this resource to help individuals choose apps for their classrooms or districts.

Too often teachers choose apps that are : redundant to what had already been purchased , may not meet privacy considerations or simply didn't make good financial sense.

I began to reflect on this and realized how many more considerations need to be made for any resource in the classroom.

I hope this resource is useful in choosing apps or other resources for your classrooms.

This is a great resource to share with teachers so they understand the whole picture of buying and implementing software. I particularly like 'is it a one hit wonder' paired with 'do with have the money'.

Pedagogy Practical is also an important consideration - does the software support how we teach the subject? This makes me think of the variety of phonics and early reading apps that are available which use different fonts/symbols/actions to our phonics scheme, it is a real challenge to find reading specific software for early learners!
