Discover Ready-Made Student Projects for iPad

The Apple Education Community is a great place to find ready-made student projects that liven up lessons and spark creativity in every learner.

In our Apple Professional Learning Live session, we discovered simple activities, engaging lesson ideas, and helpful templates that can save you and your colleagues time and bring creativity to your classrooms.

Here’s a recap on each of the experiences and some resources for you to take your learning further.

Personalise a Postcard with Keynote

Everyone loves sharing their experiences with friends and family and nothing is better than a physical postcard. This Keynote Project gives all the guidelines to create your own digital postcard with images, drawings and even handwritten notes if you have Apple Pencil.

Download the template and use the Add Slide feature to add more pages to your postcard, then tap Media to add photos, drawings, video, or audio. Then add text or writing to give it a personal touch.

Create a Podcast with GarageBand

Podcasts are becoming a very popular communication tool across the world and schools are realising the opportunities it has for empowering student voice and cross curricula learning.

This Podcast project has everything you would need to plan your podcast, record you voice, add Apple Loops, edit and then share your podcast with the world. There are step by step instructions with images and animations to guide you, plus a downloadable template for your students to use.

This project is the perfect way to get started with Podcasting and can be used in almost every subject and learning level.

Design a Simple App with Keynote

If you have an iPhone or iPad then you are very familiar with using Apps and how helpful they can be. But have you ever designed one? This project uses Keynote to guide you through all the stages to design an app that helps you to make your, or others, day better!

Each step, from the brainstorming, prototyping, evaluating and promoting stages, include a template and guiding questions, and finishes with a Project Presentation template for your students. This App Design project is also a great way to introduce students to the Everyone Can Code projects to extend them further into coding design and development.
