Imagine closing your eyes and immersing yourself in a world full of magical creatures - far away from everyday life. Learn how to bring the magic of your students' imagination to life. Ideal for learners from late elementary school upwards.
The aim of this lesson is for learners to create complex fantasy animals using simple shapes in Keynote. First, they learn how to join and cut shapes with the help of Apple tutorials.
Then you show how you have constructed your own mythical creature. To do this, use the magic X-ray function in Keynote - or simply put, select all shapes, choose fill color white and set the transparency to high.
Now give learners the opportunity to try things out for themselves - they will quickly come up with wonderful ideas of what new things can be created from the individual shapes. It is helpful for the learners if you show them the following steps to create their mythical creature.
Now that we have finished the basic structure of the body, it's time to add fur, feathers or scales to the creature. First try out different shapes and think about how the skin covering should be colored later and where the creature has bald patches.Once you have finished your first creature, it is worth marking all the shapes you have used and then grouping them together. This will allow you to insert the creature into your dream world scene.
Tip: Add a separate slide in Keynote for each creature in your dream world.
You will quickly notice how your imagination runs away with you more and more in the course of the process and the figures become more and more special. This is exactly how your learners will feel. They will immerse themselves in a world full of creativity and imagination and create incredible dream worlds. Time will fly by!
Once you have made a few figures, think about the environment in which you want to insert them and whether you want to animate them a little. A completely new world will now open up from individual creatures, animals and plants.
