7th grade RLA is getting creative in Keynote! ✨
Our 7th grade PLC brainstormed different ways to engage their students with creativity while reading Langston Hughes' "Thank You, M'am." We collaborated to create a template in Keynote for students to map out the different elements of characters in the text - specifically, their words, thoughts, actions, feelings, and internal and external responses. Learners were tasked with adding shapes to each element to represent the character, then build the character itself and explain their symbols using Live Video.
After this step, students will create a visual plot diagram that outlines the character's development throughout the story and will again use Live Video to provide an explanation supported by evidence from the text. It's short constructed response practice in visual and audio form!
Our readers have been enthusiastic about this project and are having awesome discussions with their table groups about the content and the technology. I can't wait to see their finished products! #wearelcp
I've linked one version of the template below that you can download, edit as needed, and share out to your students.
Attach up to 5 files which will be available for other members to download.
