Creating fast Halloween Resources with Spotlight and Quick Keys

What to do when a lesson is upon you and you have nothing prepped or planned?! Have a look at how we use some of the amazing new tools in Mac such as Intelligent Actions, Quick Keys and Contextually Aware Actions in the new Spotlight in MacOS Tahoe.

When using all of these tools combined with Apple Intelligence intergation with Siri +Chat GPT and Image Playground to create images we are able to create an animated example in Keynote.

We even added in Sound Effects thanks to iPhone Mirroring and Music with Contextual Aware Actions to access our music library fast.

Using all of these tools from a central location can be a great way to help students navigate complex menus as they are learning Mac, and support those with limited movement to move the pointer across the screen to access menus and apps.

In this sequence we have used a range of tools on Mac to increase Productivity and be able to create content fast.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Open Spotlight - Command + Space
  • Access Files - Command +2
  • Access Clipboard - Command +4
  • Duplicate - Option + Shift + Drag

Contextually Aware Actions

  • Add Image from Image Playground
  • Remove Background
