RIP Clips 🪦, Hello Keynote 👋
As we transition away from the Clips app, we've found Keynote to be a powerhouse for creating engaging student videos, even for our younger learners!
We recently challenged our 3rd graders to create "Historical Conversation" videos about Civil War figures, integrating research and multimedia skills.
💡 Our Quick & Easy Workflow:
- Preparation: Students researched a figure and created short "talking portrait" videos of the figure answering questions using ChatterPix.
- Keynote Creation (3 Slides Total): On each of the three slides:
- Student Interviewer: They record themselves asking a question on the left side using Keynote's built-in Record Video feature.
- Historical Figure: They place the corresponding ChatterPix answer video on the right side.
- Final Product: Export the 3-slide presentation as a Movie for a seamless, professional-looking "interview."
The teachers are planning a gallery walk of the products to show off their hard work!
I have attached the template given to students to this post. Hope it helps!
