Lesson Overview

This lesson introduces Form 3 students to the topic of Food Experiences through authentic visuals and meaningful classroom interaction. Students begin by participating in an emoji guessing activity to activate their prior knowledge and curiosity. They then become “Food Detectives” by identifying ingredients in a curry mee photo and learning descriptive adjectives such as spicy, aromatic, rich, creamy, delicious, and flavourful. Through guided discussion, students share their opinions and personal food experiences before creating a simple presentation slide about their favourite food. The lesson encourages communication, creativity, critical thinking, and active participation while helping students develop vocabulary and confidence in expressing their ideas in English.
