Human Heart

This animation is designed to support secondary school Biology (Human Circulatory System topic) and is aligned with the Malaysia Secondary School Biology curriculum (Form 4). It helps students visualise the structure and function of the human heart through engaging animations. Learners explore the four heart chambers, the major heart valves, and the pathway of blood flow through the heart. By transforming abstract concepts into meaningful visual experiences, this resource promotes deeper conceptual understanding and active learning.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this learning activity, students will be able to:

  • Label the four chambers of the human heart and the major blood vessels connected to it.
  • Identify the tricuspid, bicuspid (mitral), and semilunar valves, and explain their functions.
  • Trace the pathway of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood through the heart.
  • Explain how the structure of the heart ensures efficient, one-way blood circulation.

Designed for visual and interactive learning, this animation harnesses the capabilities of iPad to enhance conceptual understanding through engaging multimedia. It enables students to visualise complex biological processes more effectively, making learning more meaningful, interactive, and memorable.
