Learning Tamil Vowels Creatively with Keynote(உயிர் எழுத்து)

This learning resource introduces Tamil vowels (உயிரெழுத்துகள்) through engaging, interactive and student-centred activities using Keynote on iPad.

The lesson is designed using the 5E instructional model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate. Pupils listen to vowel sounds, identify the corresponding Tamil letters, match each letter with a picture and word, practise the correct pronunciation, and demonstrate their understanding through interactive activities.

Keynote features such as audio recordings, animations, images and interactive slides make Tamil pronunciation and letter recognition more meaningful and enjoyable. Examples include இ–இலை, ஊ–ஊதல், ஏ–ஏணி, ஐ–ஐவர், ஒ–ஒன்று and ஔ–ஔடதம்.

This resource supports active learning, creativity, communication and immediate feedback. It also helps pupils develop confidence in recognising and pronouncing Tamil vowels correctly while learning through visual, auditory and interactive experiences.
