Amplifying Thinking, Not Replacing is a teaching kit for grades 9-12 (K-12/OST) that asks students: How might we design and use AI-powered workflows that amplify human thinking, creativity, and decision-making, while still critically evaluating and taking responsibility for AI outputs?
Designed for educators who want to build AI literacy and critical thinking across any subject, the kit lets students choose their content, customize their tools, and decide how much to rely on AI versus their own ideas. Using Shortcuts, students critique, revise, and take ownership of every AI output through three challenges:
- Chapter Digest: Summarize and rewrite a reading, then compare it to the original to see what was lost or changed
- Assignment Kickstarter: Generate an action plan, then revise it to reflect their own priorities
- Study Card Maker: Build flashcards and a concept visual, then edit and expand them for accuracy
