AR in Freeform

Like many of you, I have spent the past few weeks exploring and experimenting with Freeform to see what educational benefits and connections it could offer. In the process of this exploration, I found a way to link this tool to an unlikely user group: early childhood students. Freeform used in my way acts as a "single source of truth", housing all different types of resources, links, files, etc... including AR files. An easy way of combining multiple resources in one place for younger students to locate and use. Take a look at my sample Freeform board that I will be using alongside our Kindergarten students for their Polar Animals research unit. Below are some of the different ways we are exploring using Freeform:

 Polar Animals

 Human Migration

The Solar System

(Create a digital working wall of resources to support the unit)

PLN Board

(Collate your connections and reliable websites in one easy to use board)

The Rainforest

(Provide easy access to multiple AR files in one location for young learners)

For those that are interested, here is my quick tutorial on how I added AR and other types of files to make resource boards for students.

I hadn't thought about housing AR models in Freeform! Brilliant, as always, Lyndsey!

The most innovative use of Freeform in an educational setting I have seen so far! Bravo!

This is just so incredible Lyndsey 🫶🏻

It reminds me of a digital version of the big poster projects students complete... so much information housed in one big "page". Incredible for our young learners!

Did you use the Ar Makr app to make your 3D models? Where did you get the 3D models to put into the AR makr? Then how did you export that 3D animal to save it in a file that you could add to the board? This is awesome what a great way to combine apps!

Love this! I can’t wait to give this a go. How do you get your AR files into the Freeform? Thanks so much for sharing
