New Discoveries for Creative Writing

The past few days I have been learning about how to use iPads more interactively with the students. I am really excited to allow my students more creative freedom with their iPads. I used to think students would get confused with technology freedom, but now I see how creative students can be. I learned about making poetry/writing pieces in either keynote or clips. These two apps allow students to do the writing process, but then document it in a way that is personalized and creative.

I love the idea of making a keynote into a personal narrative. Students can map out their story in beginning, middle, and end. They can add photos, drawings, even music to create the mood of the story. In the end, they can create the presentation to share their writing in a much more interactive way than an essay.

Very creative way to use Keynote for story building. The adding of media & music is a wonderful way to augment and personalize the writing. Nice idea!

Hope you'll share more about what your students create in future Forum posts! There are some great Keynote templates and resources shared in this space as well. Using the Search feature at the top of the page and searching "Keynote" and "writing" yields some great activity starting points!
