My proudest teaching moment as an inclusion specialist was when my student raised his hand and kept his mouth closed. I was coming back from break and looked in to see him with his hand raised up and lips locked until the teacher called on him.

I had been trying to teach him, blurting out was inconsiderate to his fellow classmates, and disruptive to his teacher. Finally I wrote it on a small note card " When my hand is raised my mouth is closed." and that was the key... verses other types of positive reward systems the team had tried.

The million dollar pay off!!

Several of my former students have contacted me with their successes: three published authors, one head of drama at a major university. Feel my English/Drama teaching helped improve lives.

My proudest moments come when I see a passion and excitement rise in my students. It's when they take pride in their work, understand the importance, and are excited to share with me, each other, and their families.

I am so stoked to share that I am now a full-time teacher at IMG Academy working in the Learning Resource Center as a teacher for students with dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, and those students who need or want extra coaching to navigate their courses.

Apple has made my dream job come true through the technology they have implemented across all platforms. As a person with dyslexia, I or my students do not have to go between programs. I or my student can simply click on a keystroke to access text-to-speech or speech-to-text. It is truly a blessing. Thank you, Steve Jobs, John Couch, and others who have paved the way to make education a success for those who struggle with the printed word.

Building a classroom environment where every student felt valued, respected, and eager to learn is a significant achievement. Witnessing students support and encourage each other's growth academically and personally is likewise truly gratifying.

When students use their creative skills to invent or innovate and it works. The joy on their faces is enough to keep me going for days.

My proudest teaching moments are when those who struggle with paper and pencil really lean into their knowledge and show me what they know in other ways … in turn realizing and focusing on what they ARE capable of! #AppleLearningAcademy

My proudest moment as a teacher is when I see new teachers develop and are successful in their field. I love being an instructional leader in my role. I love when people grow each other because it is a ripple effect that never really ends.

When I was teaching prek, I did an author study, and the students created their own book (collaborative authorship) inspired by the author we studied. We had a book signing that invited parents and all children (ages 3 to 5) were able to provide autographs meeting them where they were at with their writing development (autographs can be photos and words). At the end, a student said, “we’re all authors!” Success! #applelearningacademy
