When the clinical staff told me that they utilized the knowledge and skills that I shared in the training and saved a patient's life, I feel so fulfilled.

As a hospital-based nurse educator it is so rewarding when deep learning occurs that connects back to practice. When they have that “Aha!” Moment and they come back to seminar or class to share their wins! #AppleLearningAcademy

A proud teaching moment for me is when students are engaged in collaborative experiences where they are not only learning, but teaching others as well —> teacher as “guide on the side” vs “sage on the stage” and students teaching the teacher. #applelearningacademy

My proudest moments are those ones when a student comes back to tell you how they’re doing now or thank you for making a difference for them. I find it so much more meaningful when they talk about the relationship I built with them, how I was a person they could trust, or how I helped them learn or believe something about themselves than when they refer to the academic learning. #AppleLearningAcademy

My proudest teaching moments are when students find me outside of my classroom to tell me how they are using what we learned in other aspects of their lives. They are finding the content relevant and applicable to other classes they are in as well as in their personal lives.

When the learner has the lightbulb moment! #AppleLearningAcademy

During the school shut down, I collaborated with our Steam teacher to engage our students and bring the content to them. Together we created engaging multimedia text sets using Numbers, Keynote, and Pages. We were able to offer students choice and ways to connect with their peers. We also put together take home kits so that ALL of our students had the opportunity to build, problem solve, and CREATE with their hands and their iPads. This changed the way we delivered curriculum and thought about learning opportunities for our students moving forward =D.

My proudest teaching moments are when students experience those a-ha moments connecting our in-class material to other courses and especially to experiences outside the classroom. Those “transfer moments” as we call them, serve as evidence that students comprehend concepts and have internalized them.

Ultimately, when students return to class and share these experiences with me or the class - THAT is when I am most fulfilled as an educator. #AppleLearningAcademy
