When we are able to have fun with the content and build upon our students' learning. #AppleLearningAcademy

...I see students and adults who struggle with something and don't give up until they figure "it" out...whatever that "it" is. They remain persistent and invested in their learning and in the end can say, "I did it!".

I always know when students are proud of their work when they beg me to take it home and show their grown ups! We are working through the engineering design process and they have so much pride when they reflect on what they've designed and created.

My proudest teaching moment is when students have more questions than answers about a topic or initiative we are exploring. An even prouder moment is when they are able to articulate those questions in French, the language they are acquiring in my class. The "Travelling Tales" global story creation activity designed by Joel Bevans which we incorporate in our Human Rights Unit of Inquiry is an amazing example of student agency and exploration and is not only my proudest moment, but I believe my students proudest moment as well. https://bevansjoel.wixsite.com/travellingtales

My proudest moments are when, years later, I run into students who express how much of a positive impact I've had on their lives. Even after moving to a new school district, I received a heartfelt letter from a former student at my current school. In the letter, he shared specific examples that he later connected with. Building relationships is essential to being an effective teacher!

When they finally understood the difference between a complete subject and a complete predicate! Not to mention compound subjects and predicates. We are still working on that. #HWTD!

The teachers that I'm fortunate enough to work with each day are proud of something they learned to do, and in turn share that learning with their own students!

One of my proudest teaching moment was students asked do we have to go to P.E. because they were so engaged and didn't want to stop!!!!

My proudest teaching moments are when students don't want to stop the learning. When they are so invested in what they are doing, they don't want to move on. 🥰

My proudest teaching moments are when students tell me that they feel welcome in my room and that they feel safe and respected. I am also proud when they participate in class and take ownership of their educations and monitor their grades and come to me when they are missing assignments and when they have made up assignments without being asked. I'm also proud in those rare moments when they tell me, "This is my favorite class" or "You're my favorite teacher ..."

My proudest moment is watching my four year old students light up with joy because they finally figured it out after trying several times. That exact moment when its like "oh that's how you do it".

My proudest teaching moments are when students want to go beyond the curriculum, assessments, and exams. When they become independent thinkers and creators, they become lifelong learners.

My proudest teaching moments are when…I see each of my students "aha" moments when creating and making music

October 05, 2023

When I see my students of all abilities and backgrounds are truly enjoying making music :)
