Journey to Innovation

I had the pleasure of working with Christine for my Executive Leadership Coaching sessions. Through this journey I was able to create my vision for learning as it pertained to innovative technology. Christine truly helped me bring my vision and mission to the fore front. We discussed my vision of creating an experience for students in which they were engaged in learning, happy about learning, and bridging the gap between the world we live and learning so that we could meet students where they were. I expressed that we are no longer teacher traditional students, therefore we needed to move away from traditional teaching so that we could bring life to teaching and learning. Through innovative teaching and learning we could engage students, amplify teaching, provide SEL, foster collaboration and teamwork and provide opportunities for students to create and develop higher order thinking-skills. Christine showed me some amazing tools that apple had built into their devices to elevate teaching and learning. We looked at templates on the apple forum, built templates on the IPad through Pages. We also discussed creating learning opportunities for staff, students and parents so that the IPads could be utilized for it fulls potential. We discuss my action plan and ways to do the things I visioned about in a realistic sequence and time frame. Ultimately Christine guided me through the process and challenged me to tie everything back to our vision. It was truly a pleasure to work with Christine in creating a culture of innovative, interactive, and engaging learning, that brings the joy back to learning and allow the opportunity for students to be creative and expand their knowledge.

Glad you had a positive experience with your Executive Learning session. You have a point that we are no longer traditional teacher, we need to move from the front of the class to the side line to be able more to coach than just to deliver knowledge.
