Pages tip

Today at ADE Academy in Montebello I learned a game changing tip from @tinaZ!

I’ve always had a hard time designing books the way I wanted them to look in Pages. I love designing in Keynote, and Tina showed me a way to use Pages to create my books but make it act like Keynote.

Now I can use Pages easily and get my students to design storybooks and multimodal texts. I’ll be teaching grade 6 in the fall and am really pumped to teach them how to use Pages in this way. Tina had some amazing examples of books she has co-authored with her students that inspired me to get thinking about my own class.

In addition, I’m plan to create a CBL experience about games people have played throughout history as a way to encourage students to learn more about ancient civilizations.

Thanks Tina, and thanks ADE Academy!

What a great trick!! My fall back is always Keynote, but now with this possibility, I will definitely be turning to Pages more!

This was definitely a game changer, Stacy, and thank you for taking the time to put it in the video form, so that I can easily be reminded when I forget one of the steps. You’re the best, Montebello pal
