- iPad or Mac with latest iPadOS or macOS
- Built-in Dictation feature
- Writing app (Notes, TextEdit, or Pages) or any app that accepts text input.
Step-by-step guide:
- Select an age-appropriate reading passage.
- Open Notes or Pages.
- Enable Dictation: via Settings > General > Keyboards > Enable Dictation > toggle.
- iPad: Tap microphone icon on keyboard.
- Student reads aloud as Dictation converts speech to text.
- Compare original and dictated text:
- Guide student to spot differences.
- Discuss and correct errors
