The Science of Autumn: Keynote Animations in Action

After learning about the scientific concept of why trees lose their leaves in autumn, our Year 4, 5, and 6 learners did a fantastic job explaining this through Keynote animation. Using the magic move transition, they animated the gradual colour change of leaves, their fall to the ground and the tree growing green leaves in spring. This dynamic approach brought the concept to life in a visually engaging way.

Above is an example of an autumn animation.

It was great to see the enthusiasm and creativity shine through in their work. The students took great pride in their animations, experimenting with timing and movement to make their explanations clear and visually appealing.

Students were excited to share their finished projects and it was clear that using Keynote in this way deepened their understanding of the concept. The mix of science and digital creativity made for a truly enjoyable and meaningful learning experience!

Very nice - instructive and creative. I certainly learned about chlorophyll by watching the Keynote animation! So cool to show knowledge via animation and integrate technology at the same time!

This is great, Emma! 🌟 I love how the students have created their own tree weights shapes, rather than just use a stock Shape from the Shapes Library! 🙌
