K3 students at Simon Bolivar School learned how to make a digital book in Book Creator taking photos of their process about their animal with recycled material.
As an apple teacher, I worked with my students throughout this process teaching them about the 3R’s and creating an animal with recycled material with the app Book Creator to make a gallery with the photos taken by them.
Students from K3C learned about the 3R’s through the challenge 3 called Venezuela, the objective of this challenge was teaching students about how we can create other new things with recycled materials.
Each student had a different animal chosen by the teacher, octopus, rabbits, bees, penguins, etc. the students were collecting photos and evidence throughout the process of creating their animal, after gathering all the photos from their process, the students used Book Creator to create a digital book presenting their gallery through the app.
Throughout this activity students achieved:
Use digital media and a new app to present a digital gallery
The students successfully combined their creativity and environmental awareness
They acquired skills such as:
Developing digital creativity by using Book Creator
Learners developed environmental skills and how can we create something new with old things
Finally, each student presented their gallery throughout the app Book Creator, they saw their creation and how it gradually took form as an animal.
The product reflected how can we make new objects with old things 🤖
