We're Going on a Safari: Learning About Animals

Lesson:

  • In small groups, students collaborated to choose an animal and research about the animal using the Animal Safari AR - 3D Learning app.

Students exploring Animal Safari AR

  • Students had to work together to learn about where the animal lived, what the animal ate, and three other facts about the animal.
  • After researching their animals, students used Clips to share what they learned. They collaborated to record each other, share the facts, and create their group video.

Students recording in Clips

  • Once the videos were finished, they presented their video to the rest of the class to teach them about the animal they had researched.

Impact:

  • Students learned about animals and their habitats in an innovative way.
  • Students collaborated to produce a finished product.
  • Students were actively engaged in the activity from start to finish.
  • Students taught the rest of their classmates about the animal they researched.

Very engaging AR learning activity. Love the picture of the student with the Cheetah? in the classroom!
