Hi, I don't know if this will help you but when I subbed in first grade, I made this template for students to use when they were adding and subtraction. You can delete and add the tens and ones as needed. I had the kids write the number 1st, then put the tens/ones in the right spot and do their math from there.

I created this template working with remote First Nations students, but equally useful with all learners for visual addition and subtraction , using placeholders to take photos of their manipulative and writing the answer
