Safe space where people are encouraged to try new things and make mistakes which they learn from. This all starts with trust.

When I think about what it means for my school, the community is where our students will end up so we need to create strong connections before they leave. It is essential to help students find their place and foster independence in their community while we can support them.

Communities provide us with a sense of belonging and identity. It consists of a space of shared goals and values and provides us with support systems to help us navigate through different aspects.

We are part of many communities, our school community which consists of students and staff, subject area communities, secondary teacher communities and even the apple educator communities. They constant and continuous.

Communities exist wherever we are. As teachers, we are members of numerous communities - school, local area, family, local sporting groups - and we can draw from those communities, and contribute to them. A community is anyone who works with us, sharing a common set of values and vision. What we get out of our communities will depend largely on how much we are willing to contribute to them.

Community, to me, signifies belonging to a tribe where we support each other ranging from being each others sounding board to collaborators or sharing positive vibes and cheering each other on to achieve our goals.
